After Airtel, Idea Cellular has now launched a new plan to compete against Jio which recently revised its prepaid and postpaid plans. Taking a direct shot at Jio’s Rs 399 offer, Idea has launched a new plan at Rs 357 that offers 1GB data per day.

Along with unlimited calls and 1GB data per day, Idea is also giving 100 SMSes with the plan. Jio at Rs 399 offers unlimited calls, SMSes, 1GB daily data and also free roaming. While the Idea Rs 357 plan comes with 28 days validity, Jio offers 70-days validity.

Idea has also launched another 1GB daily data benefit plan but exclusively for the Delhi-NCR-based subscribers. The company offers unlimited calls, 1GB daily data and 100 SMSes but with a longer validity of 70 days under this plan.

Idea, in April this year, also revised its Rs 398 plan for the prepaid users. The company announced to offer unlimited local and STD calls along with 1GB 4G data per day with FUP for 28 days under the revised plan.

The fight against Jio’s cheap data and call plans is on. Airtel on Saturday also launched a new Rs 448 plan for prepaid users. Airtel Rs 448 plan also competes with Jio’s Rs 399 plan. The recharge of Rs 448 plan on Airtel prepaid number will get you 70GB 3G/4G data. It is 1GB 3G/4G data per day for 70 days.

Along with unlimited voice calls, a war for 1GB daily data for a month is also going on in the telecom industry at present. Currently, almost every telecom company is offering a 1GB daily data plan to its users. Vodafone offers unlimited STD/local voice calls, free roaming along with 28GB 4G data for 28 days at Rs 392. This plan is available only for Delhi-NCR circle. BSNL also offers 90GB data unlimited calls for 90 days at Rs 429. The plan is available across all circles except Kerala.
